Roquevale winery was set up in 1989. The first wines produced that year were called TERRAS de XISTO, TINTO da TALHA and REDONDO.
During the first year, famous external winemakers were invited, but in 1996, oenologist Joana Roque do Vale, heiress of three generations of expertise in winemaking, became sole responsable for the production.
Ever since she developed the range, expended into superior quality segments under the Roquevale and Tinto da Talha Grande Escolha brand names
The philosophy behind Roquevale’s signature remains unchanged since the early days.
To make good wines, true to Alentejo (therefore giving priority to the local grapes varieties), and deliver them to the consumer at a fair price. |
